There was once a bridge that spanned the canal just east of Paulton basin on the Somersetshire Coal Canal. The bridge supports are still in place but are in great need of repair! To repair the supports and to build a new bridge will cost a few thousand pounds. To start the process and to protect the abutments from further decay, we need to purchase some scaffolding, stone and lime mortar.
