DESCRIPTION:Talk by Roger Halse\, Archivist of The Somersetshire Coal Canal Society.\n \nA history of the ‘Radstock Branch’ of the SCC\, through plans\, maps and the occasional photograph. Roger will take you on a journey along the southern branch of the canal\, from Midford via Wellow to the terminus at Radstock Wharf. The history of both the canal cut\, its conversion to a tramway\, and the collieries that supplied the coal\, will all be covered.\n \nCopies of some of these plans and maps will also be available to view.\n \nEntry to this special event is free\, but we would like to ask for a donation of £3-4 to help cover the society’s costs.
